Pershang Farshi, Ph.D. is a senior research Scientist. She received her Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Muenster in Germany in 2011. Her research areas of interest are Neuroscience, Neurophysiology, and Cancer Biology. With her background in Genetics, and Biochemistry. She has worked on various research and development projects in different institutions in fields of genomics, nerve regeneration, spinal cord injury, cell biology, neurophysiology, drug discovery with a focus on both synthetic and natural components in vivo and vitro study. Her current research focus and interests understand the functions of the central nervous system in spinal cord injured patients and sleep disorders among other human Neurodegenerative problems. Formerly, she was a research assistant at the Max-Planck Institute for Plant Breeding in Cologne, Germany, where she received her master's degree. Pershang was also a research scientist at the Karmanos Cancer Institute and University of Michigan Ann Arbor, where she was also a post-doc scholar.
